RM 4210 Senior Seminar: Finding Employment in Recreation & Leisure: Newspaper Ads

This guide provides URLs and basic search steps for sites that list job openings in recreation and leisure. It also lists some print sources of job listings; these sources can be found in Belk Library and Information Commons.

Newspapers available in Belk Library & Information Commons

ASU receives many newspapers that can be checked regularly for job ads. Some of these newspapers do not post their classified ads on the World Wide Web; or, you may find it easier to browse through the newspaper than to search online. The list below is not complete. All newspapers are shelved in the Fox Family Reading Room (to the left of the entrance gates) on the Main Floor.

Asheville Citizen-Times  [Asheville,NC]

These sites can help you search the classified ads of newspapers in the United States. Each one is arranged by state, with a sub-arrangement by name of city or by name of newspaper. The links take you to the newspaper website's homepage, where you can probably click on Classified, then click on Employment or Jobs. Or, look for a box on the homepage that allows you to search for job ads.
