Green design and construction, also called sustainable design and construction, is a comprehensive process that employs techniques to minimize adverse environmental impacts and reduce the energy consumption of a building while contributing to the health and productivity of its occupants. Green design and construction have many components, such as architecture, building construction, building materials, energy, landscape design, and much more.
