This guide was initially created to provide data sources for 
Social Work 4020, "Communities and Organizations.

Students are assigned a community in western North Carolina and must identify social issues in or around that community that can impact social services.  

Students will want to find data for their chosen community related to:

          Demographics -  income / poverty, racial distribution, etc
          Economic - jobs, home ownership, home vacancy, retail businesses, etc
          Agriculture - farming, etc.
         Transportation - availability of public transportation, etc.
