AOD Counseling is an opportunity to explore your overall health and well being, in relation to personal use of alcohol/drugs, or in relation to someone else's use of alcohol/drugs.

The website for the Student Health Services will help you determine what forms you need to submit if you are incoming, how to set up an appointment with a doctor, and information if you are having an emergency or if it's after-hours.

Students are required to have insurance. If you are unable to be on your parents', you can enroll in Student Blue NC.

Rich Mountain Room, located on Plemmons Student Union’s third floor, has been designated a meditation room for use by individuals. It remains unlocked and available during weekdays from 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m

Sexual Health Consultations are a free service designed to provide students the answers to their questions about their sexual health needs.

Interpersonal violence prevention is an umberlla term that covers: sexual assualt prevention, domestic violence, dating violence, bullying, harrassment, etc...

If you or someone you know has experienced Sex-Based Misconduct (sexual assault, dating/domestic violence, sexual harassment, stalking), the Title IX office is here to help.

As-U-R is an intensive student support program focused on supporting students who struggle with skills related to academic success, such as organization, planning and setting priorities, getting started and completing tasks, monitoring progress on tasks, and decision-making.

The Ombuds Office provides an independent, confidential environment for faculty, staff and students of the Appalachian community to discuss campus related concerns or problems.

If you need accommodations for a disability, reach out to the Disability Office to see if you are eligible.

If you are eligible for disability accommodations, be sure to understand the confidentiality surrounding your disability including that you are not required to disclose your disability to your professors.

If you need advice on a legal matter, you can set up an appointment at the legal clinic. They will give advice on most matters as long as they are not legal actions against the university or dealing with University Disciplinary matters.
