Evaluating Resources

There are many different ways to evaluate the resources that you look at. It's a good practice to evaluate any resource or information source you come into contact with even if they come from the library's website and are a peer-reviewed source. Evaluation is not just about determining if a source is reliable or credible. It also involves determining if it's relevant and appropriate to your information need. Below are some different strategies and tests you can use in evaluating your sources.
