Qualitative studies are usually employed to make a determination from a social perspective. The aim is to provide data that reports on attitudes, perspectives, motivations, and beliefs. Many studies will self identify as a qualitative study. Look for other words (or consider using these words in your search): "ethnography" (or a variation), "focus groups", "structured interviews", and "participant observation."
