IMC Resources for Hickory Students: EDU 3000

IMC Exploration

Use the checklist to explore the materials in the classroom. Also, search for a book using the MackinVIA database. See if you can find a text you would use in your teaching. As you explore the space think about how these resources might be used for a variety of learners.

Submit the completed checklist and three reflection questions to your course AsULearn page.

Reflection 1

Using at least one item that you found from the checklist activities, answer the following questions:

  1. How will you use the material you selected?
  2. How is the resource you selected supportive for students you may have in your classroom? Consider various types of learners (multilingual, students with disabilities, gifted students, etc.) and the various identities of learners (race, ethnicity, gender, LGBTQ, age, ability, religion, immigration status, geographic location, etc).
  3. What resource(s) could you add based on different learners you have seen or might encounter to be more inclusive? It could be a resource not in the library/IMC.
