The Digital English Writing Center (DEWC) grant program is a collaboration between Appalachian State University and a partner university in China. During the program years from 2019 to 2021, we created this digital English writing center website to host instructional videos and other information in academic writing and publishing.
We initially started an American Cultural program in 2012 with Northeastern University in Shenyang, and our American Cultural Center at Northeastern University has remained active and expanded over the past several years with continued activities and collaborations between our two institutions after the ACC grants were phased out in 2017. Now, the collaboration between Northeastern University and Appalachian State University has been focused more on faculty teaching and research and student exchanges building on the ACC experience.
