The Digital Media Studio is an open multimedia lab for the Appalachian State University campus. The purpose of the DMS is to provide access to current software and hardware, but most of all we provide help using digital media tools and technologies.
The Technology Checkout Desk is a service desk that allows patrons to borrow digital equipment (laptops, tablets, cameras, etc.) and accessories for personal use (for free) with their AppCard. It is located on the Lower Level of the Belk Library and Information Commons.
The Virtual Reality Room located on the Lower Level of the library next to the Inspire Maker Lab. Patrons can borrow and play video games on console systems including virtual reality, as well as develop their own.
The Assistive Technology Room (141) helps individuals with disabilities related to vision, hearing, learning, or mobility. The equipment available provides alternate ways to access and use library resources.
