HIS 2204 Survey of American Civilization Since 1876: Sources in Special Collections

Sources in Special Collections

The Special Collections Research Center is home to the W. L. Eury Appalachian Collection, the Stock Car Racing Collection, Rare Books & Manuscripts, and University Archives & Records Management Services.

You can search for sources in Special Collections in three ways:

  1. Digital Collections: Digital Collections consist of rare and historic materials made available online. There is some overlap with the Finding Aids.
  2. Library Catalog: The Library Catalog allows you to search for books and more in the Appalachian Collection and the Rare Books & Manuscript collections. Some materials can be checked out and others require an appointment to view.
    • Adding the location limiters ASU SPEC APP COLL and/or ASU SPEC RARE BOOKS allows you to only see results that are in the Appalachian Collection or are rare books.
  3. Finding Aids: Finding Aids are guides for manuscript and archival collections. If there are items you discover in a finding aid that you would like to view, you can request a research appointment.
